Dear Tulare County community member,
As pools begin to reopen for the summer season, we at Tulare County environmental health would like to reemphasize the importance of pool safety. Pool/spa related drowning continues to be one of the leading preventable causes of injury or death in children ages 0-5. We all have a part to play to help eliminate these unnecessary hazards and keep swimming pools a fun and relaxing way to beat the heat. We encourage you to take advantage of the many resources we have available on our stie. We offer self-inspection checklists, directories of organizations throughout the valley that offer swimming lessons as well as CPR training, insightful safety videos, and much more for you to use at your convenience. From all of us at Tulare County division of environmental health have a fun, safe, and healthy swim season.
