Swimming Pool Safety

Dear Tulare County community member,

As pools begin to close for the winter season, we at Tulare County environmental health would like to reemphasize the importance of pool safety. While pools may be closed during these months, drowning is still a very real threat. Pool/spa related drowning continues to be one of the leading preventable causes of injury or death in children ages 0-5. We all have a part to play to help eliminate these unnecessary hazards and keep swimming pools safe even if they are unused during these colder months. We encourage you to take advantage of the many resources we have available on our stie. We offer self-inspection checklists, winterization tips and instructions, insightful safety videos, and much more for you to use at your convenience. From all of us at Tulare County division of environmental health have a fun, safe, and healthy winter season.
